Awarded in the spring to a graduating Concordia College, Moorhead, Senior who will be entering Luther Seminary. This scholarship requires financial need. The selected student may defer entering seminary for up to one year and still receive the scholarship. The amount of the scholarship varies. The student should provide a copy of the acceptance letter to Luther Seminary to Karen Lee at klee@cord.edu .

Siebert Lutheran Foundation, Inc

Criteria

MDiv candidates who hold membership in a Lutheran Congregation in Wisconsin. Based on financial need. Student must be enrolled full-time, and be a candidate for ordination. Not available for internship.

Complete application must also be accompanied by a letter from student's pastor verifying the student's church membership in Wisconsin.

The awards are originally made as loans with one-third of the outstanding loan balance forgiven for each year of service to the United Methodist Church. GRANNIS-MARTIN SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS Three Grannis-Martin Scholarship loans will be awarded in the range of $2000 each. GRANNIS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP Grannis Memorial Scholarship loans are usually between $200 and $400.

Criteria

The Grannis-Martin Memorial Foundation Scholarship and Grannis Memorial Scholarship are awarded to students who are entering or currently attending a seminary with plans to work in a United Methodist ministry. Applicants must have a Minnesota connection through church, family, a Minnesota institution or organization in which the applicants are or have been involved.

REQUIREMENTS To be eligible for the scholarship, candidates must: 1. Be enrolled in an approved seminary. 2. Be planning a vocation to serve the United Methodist Church. 3. Have a Minnesota connection. 4. Complete an application form. 5. Have a most recent official transcript sent to the Scholarship Committee. 6. Have three letters of recommendation, pertaining to academic work and commitment, sent to the Scholarship Committee. 7. Description

Award for Native American students pursuing a degree at a University Senate- approved seminary. Funded through the Native American Ministries Sunday Offering.

Criteria

Awarded to citizens or permanent residents of the U.S. who are admitted to a full-time degree program. Must maintain a GPA of 2.5 or above. Must have been a member of the UMC for at least 3 years; born of Native American/American Indian/Alaskan Native parentage (at least one parent); documentation of affiliation required; be in candidacy process of ordination; and demonstrate involvement within the Native American community.
