Make a Referral
Do you know someone who may have the gifts for ministry? Think they should hear about Luther Seminary and consider becoming a student? Tell us about them! Fill out our online Recruit a Seminarian form.
After you give us a name, our first priority will be to follow any special instructions provided on the recruitment form. If there are no particular instructions, we will follow up with information that is appropriate to their age and or stage of life. Here’s what will happen:
If the individual is in high school:
- "Someone referred you" letter. The ACT member who made the referral will be identified in the letter.
- E-mail/letter regarding choosing a college.
- Letter regarding "keep us informed of what you do after high school" (sent with reply card).
- Postcard regarding top 10 colleges attended by Luther Seminary students.
- Contact will continue under "college," except for #1.
If the individual is in college:
- "Someone referred you" letter. The ACT member who made the referral will be identified in the letter.
- Freshman/sophomore letter.
- Freshman/sophomore postcard regarding top 10 majors of Luther Seminary students.
- Mid-college "check up" e-mail/letter -- How is it going? What's your major? What are your post-college plans?
- Junior/senior e-mail/letter from Luther Seminary welcome coordinator inviting them to visit the seminary.
- Junior/senior postcard regarding Luther Seminary demographics (e.g. number of students; number of students in each program -- M.Div. and M.A.; numbers of international and ecumenical students; number of states represented; percentage of students who receive financial aid).
