Have you been moved by the Promise?

Different notions of how to do church in a world of many cultures and religions are vying for the heart of congregations everywhere. The world is changing rapidly—So is my neighborhood! Within this changing environment, leadership—genuine, faith-filled leadership—is of utmost importance.

We are glad you are interested in both these kinds of leadership questions and Luther Seminary. We are starting this newsletter to keep up a conversation with you about important matters of leadership today—and your leadership!

Luther Seminary equips leaders for faith-filled service within communities. That is our passion! And, as we know, God's promises produce faith (Hebrews 12). The church must hold fast to the promises of the crucified and risen Jesus Christ as it equips leaders to live and proclaim the good news in new ways and in new times. That tradition sounds promising, right? Luther Seminary's promising tradition is to teach leaders to live, thrive and proclaim a gospel that is genuinely good news in whatever culture, congregation, community or context in which they find themselves. That's a real challenge. But that's our mission. And we are moved by God's promise to go after it.

Luther Seminary has committed itself to equipping leaders to address the real challenges that face our church and world. We are moved to serve, guide, support and cheer you on as you grow in your leadership.  The opportunity to study at Luther Seminary is an invitation to meet the living Lord and experience a level of fellowship that is deep and abiding. You will grow; you will change. Finally, you too will be moved by the promise to serve as you enter this adventure of discernment and discipleship.
