Andar, who is an ordained minister in the Batak Protestant Christian Church, hopes to use his Luther experience to educate others in his country about Islam and foster dialogue between the two groups.

With an M.A. degree just completed and two M.Div. degrees in progress, Martha and Mike Hanson are a talented youth ministry couple.
The two met as counselors at Lutheran summer camps, and youth ministry has shaped their sense of call.

Master of Divinity student Rebecca Darting is almost done with her first year at Luther Seminary, and she is still as enthusiastic as the day she applied. Her call to Luther was influenced by a conversation with her senior pastor.

Jennifer Harsch
Jennifer Harsch's road to seminary has taken six years. Jennifer first felt called to the ministry at the age of sixteen, when her pastor in Gig Harbor, Wash., noticed her gift for speaking with others about her faith. He spoke to her about the possibility of entering the ministry. Jennifer's reaction was to “run away from it, like most people do." Now, she is happy with her decision.

Kevin Bergeson
Kevin Bergeson is a very busy man. A 2002 graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minn., Kevin spent a year working as director of youth and family ministries at Salem Lutheran in West St. Paul. In the fall of 2003 he became a master of divinity student, continues his work at Salem, ran his first marathon in October, and is lead singer and guitarist of his band Greenview.
