Master of Sacred Music

Music is highly valued in the Church and the Lutheran theological tradition. Luther Seminary’s Master of Sacred Music (M.S.M.) program has been very influential in equipping excellent leaders of worship and music.

Given a number of factors, Luther Seminary has put the program on hold. The faculty will rethink the goals and strategy of the program and determine a possible new direction for moving worship and music forward at Luther Seminary.

Since the program is on hold, Luther Seminary is not accepting any applications or conducting auditions for the Master of Sacred Music program for the upcoming 2013-2014 academic year.

Contact the Office of Admissions; Paul Westermeyer, director of the M.S.M. program; or Kristin Rongstad, M.S.M. administrative assistant, with any questions.
