Bible Division

Welcome to the Web site of the Bible Division at Luther Seminary. The resources provided here are intended to serve those who seek to study the Bible in depth.

Using our online course schedule database, you can learn more about current courses being taught by members of the Bible Division in both Old Testament and New Testament studies.

You may also browse the academic catalog for a complete list of all Bible Division courses and descriptions, including courses which are not being taught in the current term.

The Bible Proficiency Exam is designed to enhance and encourage familiarity with the Scriptures. A tutorial program, The Bible Tutor, is made available to assist preparation for it.

Many resources can be accessed by going to our page of Online Resources for Biblical Studies.

Greek and Hebrew fonts can be downloaded on your computer from various online sites.

Every year the division awards several prizes for outstanding scholarship in the study of the Old and New Testaments. Learn more about the Milton Prize and the Bruce Prize.

Please visit these pages for information on our Doctor of Ministry degree program in Biblical Preaching.
