Peter Marshall Professor of Preaching at Columbia Theological Seminary, Decatur, Ga.

Anna Carter Florence is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA) and holds degrees from Yale College and Princeton Theological Seminary (M.Div. and Ph.D.).  Before joining the Columbia faculty in 1998, Anna served as an associate pastor for youth and young adults at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Minneapolis.  Her books include Preaching as Testimony and Inscribing the Word, as well as two forthcoming books: ‘A’ is for Alabaster: A Preacher’s Alphabet, and Come Back When You’ve Found Something True: New Ways to Read Scripture, based on her 2012 Lyman Beecher Lectures on Preaching at Yale Divinity School.

Raquel St. Clair LettsomeRaquel St. Clair Lettsome

Associate Minister at Union A.M.E. Church, Warwick, N.Y., and Managing Partner of Say AMEN!

Raquel St. Clair Lettsome is an Itinerant Elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church with two decades of congregational ministry experience. She is also the managing partner of Say AMEN!, a digital clearinghouse for preaching, teaching and worship arts, and serves as an associate minister at Union A.M.E. Church in Warwick, N.Y. Lettsome is a graduate of Yale University (B.A.) and Princeton Theological Seminary (M.Div. and Ph.D.), where she was awarded the Presidential Doctoral Fellowship, the New Testament Fellowship, and the Expository Preaching Prize.

Karoline Lewis

Associate Professor of Biblical Preaching and the Marbury E. Anderson Chair in Biblical Preaching, Luther Seminary

Karoline M. Lewis is the author of SHE: Five Keys to Unlock the Power of Women in Ministry (including an accompanying facilitator guide, participant guide, and DVD) and John: Fortress Biblical Preaching commentaries. She was one of the 100 religious scholars in the United States to contribute to the Values and Voices Campaign (valuesand  Her current project is on embodiment and leadership.

Lewis holds degrees from Northwestern University (B.A.), Luther Seminary (M.Div.), and Emory University (Ph.D.).  She is a regular preacher/presenter at the Festival of Homiletics and leads conferences, workshops, and retreats internationally on the Gospel of John, the New Testament, interpreting the Bible, preaching leadership, and women in ministry.  She is a contributing writer for, author of the site's Dear Working Preacher column, and co-host of the site's weekly podcast, Sermon Brainwave.

Barbara LundbladBarbara Lundblad

Joe R. Engle Professor Emeritus of Preaching at Union Theological Seminary in New York City, N.Y.

Barbara Kay Lundblad received a B.A. in English from Augustana College, the M.Div. from Yale Divinity School and the D.D. from Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago. Ordained in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, she served 16 years as a parish pastor in New York City, as well as campus pastor at Lehman College and New York University. She has taught preaching at Yale Divinity School, Princeton Theological Seminary, Hebrew Union College and in the D.Min. program of the Association of Chicago Theological Schools. In 2007, she served as president of the Academy of Homiletics.
