Puteoli

Acts
28:13-15

After more than two years of imprisonment at Caesarea, Paul was sent by ship toward Rome. They sailed northward from Caesarea, then turned west.

Context: Puteoli is a port on north side of the Bay of Naples. In the first century, it was a major port for Italy. Ships bringing grain from Egypt often put in at this port. Paul arrived on a ship from Alexandria in Egypt, which presumably stopped at Puteoli to unload cargo.
