Rome Aqueducts

Rome: The Romans were skilled engineers. Advanced building techniques enabled them to construct aqueducts that supplied the needs of an expanding population. The water brought to the city was made widely available through pools and fountains. Other Roman achievements included sophisticated arches that supported larger bridges and buildings, and extensive system of paved roads like the Egnatian Way and Appian Way, which linked portions of their empire.
