LutherNet Security Certificate

Luther Seminary uses its own Certificate of Authority to provide secure connections across the Internet.  To effectively use this system, you need to install the Root Certificate.  The instructions below are for installing the secure certificate in your browser. This is already done for you on all campus computers.  If you do not install the certificate as detailed below you can still accept the certificate for the web site, but you may receive a security certificate or warning prompt each time you revisit the web site.

Mozilla, Firefox and Netscape Navigator for all Operating systems

Download server certificate.   Check all three options (see below).

When you click on the server certificate link you will be prompted with a file download dialogue, check the "Open this file from its current location" and click OK. The certificate information window will then display the certificate details, click on "Install certificate" and accept the installation wizard defaults.   Server Certificate
