|Congregation Description:||Plymouth is an affluent third-tier suburb on the west side of Minneapolis. In 2008, Money Magazine name Plymouth the #1 place to live in the U.S. among small cities. Our primary zip code area has an average household income of $138,000 and 61% of adults are college graduates. A significant number of residents are able to travel extensively and/or own a lake home. Parents tend to be very involved with their kids' school and extra-curricular activities.|
2 worship services on Sunday, one on Saturday. Education for age 3 - grade 8 occurs on Wednesday evenings. Six regular adult ed classes each week with over 50 participants. A Center for the Arts has over 100 students taking music lessons each week and a monthly jazz series.
We give 8% of our General Fund offerings as Mission Support. Pastors are active in synod ministries. We have hosted many synod events in our building. A high percentage of our youth attend ELCA-related colleges. Members serve a monthly meal to 60-75 residents of a nearby apartment complex. Many volunteer at Interfaith Outreach & Community Partners, our local social service agency.
Congregation is celebrating its 25th anniversary this coming year. We have just called a new associate pastor and become an internship site for a concurrent internship.
