Autobiography:“As a lifelong baptized Lutheran, I grew up in the church and have always been deeply engaged in ministry. My father was a pastor, which drew us deeply into the life of the church in joyful and authentic ways. I was a Bible Camp Counselor during college, then went to seminary, where I met my wife, who is also a pastor. I served first in a rural congregation of multi-generational families, and now in a blue-collar congregation in a small town outside Peoria, IL. I am the conference dean and serve on the Synod Council as the Finance chair.

My continuing education often focuses on evangelism and preaching. I am responsible gathering our conference pastors for community, mutual encouragement and education. With three kids, I am involved in school activities, and served on the Library Board in town.”
