Requirements and Expectations
CC1610-36 Cross-Cultural Mission Experiences
| Requirements |
Required for all M. Div. degree students and some M.A.
students. (Please check
catalog for
degree requirements.) This course is normally a first year
requirement at Luther Seminary. If you cannot complete it in
the January Term, there may be limited offerings in the
summer. Courses listed are the ones actually being offered
for the January Term 2004. If you have taken one
Cross-Cultural Mission Experience, you may register for
another one as an elective; however, subsidy is limited to
those registering to fulfill the CC1610-36 requirement. |
| Deadlines |
Because of advance planning time needed by hosts,
the deadline to register for all CC1610-36 experiences is
Friday, October 10. The
minimum number of students indicated for each site must
register before a particular experience will actually be
offered. All international trips require a $200
deposit by September 30. Please submit to the
Cross Cultural Education Office a check made out to Luther
Seminary. |
| Costs |
Costs for each of these experiences are regular tuition
plus the approximate amount listed. You may consult the
Luther Seminary Catalog, but the most current and detailed
information is found on this
website.
Due to budget uncertainties for the coming year, Luther
Seminary cannot commit to subsidy amounts at this time.
As soon as these are determined, they will be posted. |
| Participation |
All students registering for a January Term
Cross-Cultural Mission Experience are expected to
participate in orientation sessions on Monday, January 5,
and a debriefing session on a date to be announced. During
your experience, please plan for daily full- time
participation. This also includes Saturdays, Sundays, and
some evenings. |
| Registration |
Students must be registered with Luther
Seminary's Registrar's Office to participate in the
Cross-Cultural Mission Experiences. The registration
time frame for all experiences is October 6-10, 2003.
The deadline to register for all CC1610-36 experiences is
Friday, October 10. Adds, Withdrawals, or changes
after the October 10 deadline will entail a $50 fee. |
