Cross-Cultural Experience Orientation and Debriefing

Pre-Departure Training

All students registering for Cross-Cultural Experiences are required to participate in Pre-Departure Training. For J-Term experiences, these sessions are announced in September. For Summer experiences, these sessions are announced in May.

Pre-Departure Session for Spring 2013 (Summer 2013 courses):

See the auto-response e-mail you received when you signed up. There is a link to a Google Docs folder to sign up for a Pre-Departure Session.

Distributed Learning students will participate in their assigned Pre-Departure Session via online participation.

Debriefing the experience

All students registering for Cross-Cultural Experiences are required to participate in a Debriefing Session.

  • Debriefing sessions are required for all participants following their return from their experiences, and will be assigned after your return.
  • International experiences: Students returning from international experiences may be invited to participate in some additional reflection opportunities by the Global Mission Institute.
