Cost:Luther Seminary tuition for .5 credit course plus Program cost of approx. $600 which includes cost for room & board for 2 weeks, travel to and from Shalom Hill & Western ND and on-site travel. Additional cost to students is a few meals during the program.

Description:
Explore exciting mission and ministry in different rural contexts: Western North Dakota and Southwestern Minnesota. Live with rural families in both locations. Learn about mission and ministry in rural cultural communities. Study rural justice issues. Explore and examine unique opportunities for mission and ministry in a rural context.

Students will spend the first week at Shalom Hill Farm in SW MN. Students will depart from Luther Seminary as a group on Monday, January 7 to go to Shalom Hill; meeting the group at Shalom Hill is possible, please contact the CCE office to discuss this possibility. Students will spend the second week in Western North Dakota, in homestays. The Western North Dakota synod will arrange train transportation to and from ND, leaving from the Minneapolis/St. Paul Amtrak station.
