Master of Divinity Program
With Luther Seminary's Distributed Learning M.Div., you will have the opportunity to fulfill your call while staying connected to your local community, work, and support system.
Join a community of learners - peers who will keep you motivated, challenged, and accountable.
Formation happens within community. As a Distributed Learning student, you will belong to a cohort community of 12-20 students. You will study, converse, pray, laugh and support one another within and beyond this community.
Engage your theological study in the context of a local congregation and put your insights immediately into practice.
Christian public leadership in a ministry context shapes the Distributed Learning student. While working on your degree, you will meet regularly with a mentor from your area and experience leadership in various areas of congregational ministry while completing your degree. Coursework feeds your ministry and ministry feeds your coursework.
Get the same degree as our residential options with the same depth, integrity and academic rigor.
The DL M.Div. follows the same curriculum as the traditional Luther Seminary Master of Divinity. You will complete the degree in a cohort-based program paced over 5.5 to 6 years, with fall and spring semesters online and two-week intensives at Luther each January and June.
