Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) in Biblical Preaching

The D.Min. program is focused on congregational leaders in their own contexts. Preachers with several years of preaching under their belts have honed their skills, identified their strengths and growing edges, and come to greater clarity about the nature and importance of their calling. There simply is no more opportune time to teach preaching than in the midst of congregational service.

Pastors receive a rigorous and supportive program of advanced professional study by which to further their vocational development. Luther Seminary hopes to greatly enhance the effectiveness of church leaders and thereby help to revitalize the life and ministry of the church.

Commitment to Biblical Preaching

The living word of God changes lives, creates faith and motivates mission. Proclamation of the gospel in Christian worship is a primary manifestation of the word of God in our midst and is central to the life and mission of the church.

Luther Seminary is committed and equipped to train leaders who can bear compelling witness to Christ through their biblical preaching. Begun in 2004, Luther Seminary offers a Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) program in biblical preaching.

Center for Biblical Preaching

The Center for Biblical Preaching at Luther Seminary equips preachers to be faithful and effective in their ministry of proclamation.

Theological and practical education does not end with a theological degree, but rather only gathers speed! Recognizing this, the Center for Biblical Preaching is committed to the lifelong learning of preachers. It does so by offering a variety of educational events and resources that strengthen and sustain preachers in their craft and calling.
