Program Objectives - D.Min. Biblical Preaching

The four central objectives of the program relate to what we believe are four important dimensions of the preacher's vocation:

1. Biblical: to foster in pastors a theological vision of preaching that is rooted in God's dynamic word recorded in the Scriptures and brought to lively expression in the proclamation of the gospel.

2. Practical: to equip pastors through advanced professional study to develop their skills as preachers and thereby better serve their congregations and the church.

3. Collegial: to create an environment of professional support and accountability where candidates will create and nurture collegial relationships that will sustain both their study and their practice.

4. Spiritual: to provide an opportunity for candidates to deepen both their faith in Jesus Christ and their commitment to, and understanding of, their vocation.
