Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) in Congregational Mission and Leadership

Looking for a new way to do church? Would you like to more completely align your leadership with God’s work in the world? The D.Min. in Congregational Mission and Leadership degree will help you do just that. This unique, ecumenical program offers the depth and breadth of theological thinking required of missional leaders (those who center their leadership and ministry around God’s work in the world). You'll be prepared to:

• Help people enthusiastically experience and participate in being church

• View situations theologically and ask, “what is God doing here?”

• Serve and lead congregations in their unique contexts.

The program uses a cohort-based peer learning approach in which students meet regularly in an online virtual community and face-to-face at a week-long seminar every six months. The peer education and support aspect is a powerful, unique component to the program, increasing students’ growth and learning.

The challenging curriculum combines the flexibility and structure needed to complete the degree in five years. Acknowledging the hectic pace of congregational life, however, the program allows individuals to focus on the particular needs and issues in their congregations.

One of the few D.Min. in Congregational Mission and Leadership degree programs nationwide, the Luther Seminary D.Min. degree prepares you to:

• Serve as leaders – Provide professional leadership in regional judicatories, denominational agencies or religious, non-profit organizations in North America
