Mission by proxy is a foreign concept in the conversation around mission. The church cannot outsource its missionary role any more than it can outsource its worship. Mission is also God's calling to the whole church, the entire household of God. Mission rarely works solely through individuals and/or single congregations. 
Scholarships allow students to say "yes" to God's call, but the cost of a seminary education is rising and with it the level of student debt. In January, several generous families agreed to help future leaders of the church, and they hope to inspire others to do the same. These families will match all scholarship gifts dollar-for-dollar through June 30, 2009,
