Word & World Lecture
Sept. 23, 11 a.m., Chapel of the Incarnation, OCC
The Word & World lectures focus on topics important to Christian ministry in today's world. On Sept. 23, Dr. Arland Hultgren, Asher O. and Carrie Nasby Professor of New Testament, Luther Seminary, will speak on "Paul as Theologian: His Vocation and Its Significance for His Theology." These lectures are sponsored by Word & World, a scholarly theological journal published by Luther Seminary.
Andrew S. Burgess Lecture in Global Mission
Oct. 14, 11 a.m., Chapel of the Incarnation, OCC
The task of the Andrew S. Burgess Lecture in Global Mission is to interpret today's global mission in light of the Christian tradition, the historical experience of the church and the contemporary situation in the world. This year's speaker is Dr. S. Mark Heim, Samuel Abbot Professor of Christian Theology at Andover Newton Theological School, Newton Centre, Mass.
