Faculty Book Recommendation
Amy Marga, assistant professor of systematic theology, recommends "This I Believe II: More Personal Philosophies of Remarkable Men and Women," edited by Jay Allison and Dan Gediman. "This book is a collection of very short essays by a number of average Americans who submitted their ideas to NPR," says Marga. "Each essay is a succinct and often very touching account of what people believe about different things in life like parenthood, violence, marriage, love, human destiny, strangers, etc. It gives an amazing snapshot of that which Americans think and believe today about a variety of issues that affect our everyday lives."
"This I Believe II" is available for a discounted price of $17.25 at the Luther Seminary Bookstore.
