Registration now open for Convocation 2010!

How do we open Scripture as a community of faith so that it will touch and transform us? Mid-Winter Convocation 2010, Jan. 13-15, will focus on how faith communities interpret and understand the promise of the gospel that is at the heart of Scripture.

Keynote speakers are:
  • Mike Housholder, Senior Pastor at Lutheran Church of Hope in West Des Moines, Iowa, a mission-start and one of the fastest growing churches in the nation;
  • Mark Allan Powell, Professor of New Testament at Trinity Lutheran Seminary, Columbus, Ohio; and
  • Mary Hinkle Shore, Professor of New Testament at Luther Seminary.
The Wednesday evening entertainment will feature award-winning musician Robert Robinson, who serves as executive and artistic director of the Twin Cities Community Gospel Choir.

A complete schedule, list of workshops and more details are available at www.luthersem.edu/convo.

Mid-Winter Convocation offers theological enrichment for lay and ordained ministry leaders and the Christian community. Convocation features scholars and teachers from Luther Seminary and around the world.

Registration is now open. Remember, if you register before Nov. 15, you will receive the early registration discount!
