We are currently seeking nominations for the 2014-15 Race, Church and Change Award, which recognizes leaders and communities who have significantly impacted society through ministries of racial justice and reconciliation. Luther Seminary annually presents the award to individuals who have heroically served in their community with the hope that such recognition will inspire others to similar ministry to improve the world around them.
Nominating someone you know for this award is a great way to honor their work and for others to recognize their dedication to racial justice and reconciliation. The nomination criteria are as follows:
- Someone who has carried out significant service of reconciliation among diverse people
- Someone who has demonstrated commitment to constructive change that heals the community in which they live and work
- Someone who is committed to ministry within the context of a congregation
- Someone who would be a good role model for seminary students
- Someone who has been unsung in their faithfulness to a ministry of reconciliation
Nominations are due Nov. 1 and can be submitted online.
