Each year, gifts to Luther Seminary help prepare current and future church leaders with education and resources that are vital in their ongoing ministries. Here are just a few of the many ways generous gifts made a big impact in 2014!
- This fall we welcomed 622 new and returning students across all degree programs, including 56 international students from 25 countries.
- We sent out 168 new graduates to serve around the world.
- Of incoming students, 86 percent received merit-based financial aid.
- Lifelong Learning served more than 3,500 participants through a variety of programs and events including the Festival of Homiletics, Mid-Winter Convocation, Celebration of Biblical Preaching, the Lay School of Theology and more.
- WorkingPreacher.org topped 2.6 million visits, a 26 percent increase since 2013. Visitors to Working Preacher are from more than 200 countries and territories. Nearly 30 percent of visits come from outside the United States.
- More than 15,000 subscribers received God Pause devotionals by email each day, written by 44 alumni.
- A total of 29 new current and endowed scholarships were established to help students follow their call to seminary.
