Luther Seminary is pleased to announce it has been named one of 26 Seminaries that Change the World: Class of 2015. This list is released by the Center for Faith and Service, based out of the McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago. The honor recognizes institutions that share “a common commitment to work together to strengthen and advance theological education.” According to the Center for Faith and Service, they are “looking for those individuals who want to change the world and who see that the connection between faith and service is critical. We believe that theological education offers powerful preparation for local and global leadership roles in all areas of society.”
Carrie Carroll, vice president of enrollment management and dean of students, said, “It is an honor to be on this list for the second year in a row. It recognizes Luther’s commitment to community engagement through our scholarships, contextual education and our new curriculum. We have enjoyed our common work as a part of the Seminaries that Change the World group, including participation in last summer’s New Faces of Ministry tour. We have enjoyed meeting new prospective students that have found Luther through this list.”
Luther Seminary is both proud and grateful to be recognized as one of these institutions, and continues its commitment to strengthening theological education.
