SafeTeen is an Internationally acclaimed violence prevention program that teaches youth how to stand up and speak out for themselves without resorting to violence. Teens can experience tremendous pressure and anxiety both online and face-to-face. SafeTeen offers them strategies to navigate these issues as well as critical safety and harm reduction techniques in a very dynamic and fun interactive workshop.
This workshop will be led by Lisa Janke, who has been a facilitator of SafeTeen since 2003, and in 2012 was sent to Cameroon by the Manitoba-Northwestern Ontario Synod of the ELCIC to train female facilitators in Cameroon for their work with both adults and youth. For more information, please contact Lisa at ejanke001@luthersem.edu or visit www.safeteen.ca.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This workshop open to women only in the Luther Seminary community, which includes students, faculty, staff and their friends or family.
