Please join us July 29-31 for Rethinking Confirmation, as concerned ministry leaders from across North America come together to assess the current state of confirmation and imagine, where necessary, fresh possibilities. Special attention will be given to signs of life and inspiring stories of faithful and effective innovation in youth discipleship.
Although the church’s call to help young Christians grow as disciples of Jesus Christ does not change, our cultural and social realities do. These shifts require us to rethink some of our inherited strategies and practices for nurturing faith, such as confirmation.
The event provides a unique opportunity to discover, engage and interpret early findings from The Confirmation Project, a major research partnership between five denominations.
During this event, you will hear from many great speakers:
-
- Reginald Blount, Assistant Professor of Formation, Youth and Culture, Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary
-
- Katherine Douglass, Co-Director of The Confirmation Project, Princeton Theological Seminary; Adjunct Faculty, Seattle Pacific University
-
