“It truly is because of you that we are here and that we are able to answer God’s call and be sent out to do ministry in God’s world,” says Laura Laughlin, ’16. “So thank you very much for all the ways you support the students at Luther.”
Laura was ordained at the end of July and will begin serving a congregation in September. In a few weeks, new students will begin their first semester at Luther Seminary. As our graduates answer calls and before classes begin, we want to say “Thank you!” Here are just a few of the ways you make a difference for students and church leaders through your prayers and gifts.
- Thanks to the commitment of many generous donors, 92 percent of incoming students received merit-based scholarship support this past school year.
- After graduation, 157 pastors and church leaders were sent to serve in God’s world.
- Church leaders from more than 200 countries and territories around the world are inspired by WorkingPreacher.org, which received more than 3 million visits in the past year.
- A devotion written by Luther Seminary alums, God Pause reaches nearly 15,000 people via email every day.
