Karen and Peter Geisendorfer-Lindgren, ’83 M.Div. grads, both serve Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Maple Grove, Minn. After 35 years of marriage and 33 years since their ordination, they have had many good years of service to the gospel, both at Lord of Life, and for Karen, earlier years serving the Minneapolis Area Synod on staff and as a pastor developer.
Karen says, “I was privileged to serve on the Luther Seminary Board of Directors for a time, which confirmed our commitment to this mission. In addition, Lord of Life sends and supports seminarians who will someday be colleagues in ministry. We have always believed that our personal financial commitment to future leaders is an investment in the future of the church. We give regularly to Luther’s Sustaining Fund to act on that commitment.”
Lord of Life is a thriving suburban congregation, begun in 1978 as a mission congregation in an outer ring of the Twin Cities metro area. Since then, they have grown and expanded to meet the needs of their growing community. Now offering four regular weekend worship opportunities, Lord of Life welcomes a weekly average of nearly 1,800 souls for spiritual nourishment.
There were faithful supporters of Luther Seminary’s mission who helped shape Karen and Peter into the pastors they are today. You can do the same for the leaders who are being formed for the next four decades of ministry. Give to the Sustaining Fund to invest in the future. Now through Dec. 31, a generous supporter of Luther’s mission will match your gift 1:1. Make it happen for today’s students!
Karen and Peter said, “We are thankful for what Luther Seminary gave to us and we want to show our gratitude by supporting the work it continues to do for individual students and for the church as a whole.” Join them. Invest in the power of the gospel to change the world. Give today.
