Registration for the 2017 Mid-Winter Convocation is open! Convocation will be held Feb. 1-3 at Luther Seminary. This year’s theme is Translating the Reformation: Table Talks Today.
During his lifetime, Martin Luther would spend time with students conversing about God’s living presence in the midst of the struggles of daily life. The theology that emerged changed the political and religious landscape across all of Europe. Today, people are also faced with political and religious uncertainty; does our Lutheran heritage have something to offer?
We’ve paired Luther faculty with parish pastors to engage some of the issues our congregations are struggling with today – identity, divisiveness, technology and community.
Plus! Come early for “SHE: Teaching, Preaching and Living the Five Keys”
Join Karoline Lewis, Marbury E. Anderson Chair in Biblical Preaching, during the days preceding Convo (Jan. 30-31) for an introduction to her book, “SHE: Five Keys to Unlock the Power of Women in Ministry.” Participants will gain specific instruction and training to host learning conversations about how women in ministry make a difference in our understanding of leadership in the church.
