Three lectures scheduled for this fall at Luther Seminary cover myriad topics. All lectures will be held at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of the Incarnation, Olson Campus Center. Oct. 1 – Church in Public Life Lecture

The Word & World lectures focus on topics important to Christian ministry in today’s world. The lectures are sponsored by Word & World, a scholarly theological journal published by Luther Seminary.
Nov. 5 – Andrew S. Burgess Lecture in Global Mission
“The Gospel and Ethics Revisited: Pre-Christendom Faith in a Post-Christendom World”
Dr. Jonathan J. Bonk, executive director of the Overseas Ministry Study Center
The task of the Burgess lectures is to interpret today’s global mission in light of the Christian tradition, the historical experience of the church, and the contemporary situation in the world.
