Faculty Book Recommendation

Alan Padgett, professor of systematic theology, suggests "Surprised by Meaning: Science, Faith and How We Make Sense of Things" (Westminster John Knox Press, 2011) by Alister McGrath. "This brief and highly readable work by a theologian and scientist (McGrath has doctorates in both) not only responds well to 'the new atheism' of Dawkins and company, but makes a positive case for faith in an age of science," says Padgett. "Pastors and books groups should enjoy it!"

You can order your copy of "Surprised by Meaning" through the Luther Seminary bookstore at the discounted price of $12.75.

(During the summer renovation of the Olson Campus Center, the bookstore is temporarily relocated to 1568 Eustis St. near Hwy. 280 & Como Ave.)
