As Christians living in the 21st century, we are truly on a road to Emmaus. Change is all around us. Much of it is upending all that we have known and held dear.
In response to these changes, the Center for Missional Leadership at Luther Seminary will bring a collection of speakers together for the Eighth Annual Missional Church Consultation, Nov. 9-10. This year's theme is "On the Road to Emmaus: Missional Church and Global Media Cultures."
Consultation attendees will explore the latest research and theological engagement using a variety of media. In addition, a series of workshops will provide pragmatic approaches to walking the road to Emmaus with our congregations and in our world.
The consultation will provide an opportunity to ask questions like: Where are we meeting Jesus in our daily lives? How are media reshaping our relationships, our world and our commitments to reaching out in love and justice to share the Good News? Can we trust our "hearts burning within us?"
This conference is for more than just pastors. Scholars, professors, mission directors, social media mavens and anyone interested in faith formation are welcome to attend.
With the hope that the church's future holds great promise, participants will consider the church's current context and imagine ways of moving forward.
Register today! Early bird registration is open through Sept. 30 for $195. Starting Oct. 1, the cost is $225.
