As the days lengthen and the temperature rises, the Luther Seminary community knows that means the Spring Luncheon is approaching.
The annual luncheon and basket auction will take place on the morning of Saturday, April 20, in the Olson Campus Center. The event will feature the Rev. Catherine Malotky, philanthropic adviser at Luther Seminary, and the Rev. Kathy Michael. This year’s theme is “That’s in Turkey? Who Knew? The Birthplace of the Early Church.”
The spring luncheon is an annual fundraising event featuring inspiring speakers from the arts community. It is held by the FRIENDS, a group of people from the Twin Cities area who support the seminary through prayer, financial gifts and volunteering. Previous years’ speakers have included best-selling author Lauraine Snelling, award-winning artist Lucy Rose Fischer, and Sarah Henrich, professor of New Testament and Greek at Luther Seminary.
Tickets to the Spring Luncheon fundraiser are $25. To reserve your ticket, contact Lynne Moratzka at 651-641-3419 or lmoratzk@luthersem.edu. This event is open to the public.
