Do you want to visit Luther Seminary, but your life is too busy during weekday school and business hours? If so, Taste of Seminary is perfect for you.
This March 18 event will give you the opportunity to enjoy dinner on campus while having casual conversations about your calling. It will put you in contact with helpful people, should you decide to attend seminary. During this event, you may also attend the first session of a Lay School of Theology course. These courses are non-credit classes taught by seminary professors for laypersons.
Classes available include, “The Voice of Faith: The Psalms in Daily Life.” This course, taught by Associate Professor of Old Testament Rolf Jacobson, explores how the Psalms give us words we can use to give voice to faith.
The second class option available that evening is “Your Faith has Made You Well: Healing in the Bible.” Taught by Professor of Old Testament Frederick Gaiser, this class delves into what the concept of “well” means in the Bible and its contrast to physical illness.
Registration is free. You can learn more at www.luthersem.edu/tasteofseminary.
