In the last few months, I have shared information about how we’re addressing our challenges at the seminary. And while we continue that hard work, I want to shift the focus back to our true mission: to educate leaders—pastors, youth ministers, teachers, missionaries and others—for Christian communities.
As you know, we have the privilege and responsibility to equip hundreds of students at the seminary each year. They come from diverse backgrounds and experiences. And, they each have a unique story.
Yesterday I had the pleasure of hearing Rachel Ringlaben, a senior who will soon graduate, talk about her call. Her enthusiasm and commitment to sharing the love of Jesus was inspiring. She is going to be spending the next year abroad, sharing the good news with others in indigenous communities primarily in Central and South America. She reminded us that God is present no matter what the situation.
I hope you’ll enjoy reading her story in this issue of E-lert. It is a delight to be preparing a group of seniors for their new calls. Please join me in praying for them as we anticipate their graduation this May.
