Thanks to more than 52,000 generous donors across the world, Give to the Max Day made a major impact for Minnesota nonprofits and raised more money in 2013 than in the past four years. More than $17 million was raised for thousands of nonprofits across the state.
At Luther Seminary, we are grateful for the donors who participated in this day of philanthropy. More than $18,000 was raised for the Sustaining Fund and all gifts were doubled thanks to a generous friend of Luther Seminary. Even with technical issues on the GiveMN website, donors continued to show their support for Luther Seminary.
These Sustaining Fund gifts will go toward supporting future church leaders through:
- Free online resources such as EnterTheBible.org and WorkingPreacher.org
- Distributed learning programs that allow people across the country the opportunity to say “Yes” to God’s call to ministry
- Opportunities for students to immerse themselves in cross-cultural ministry, interfaith dialogue and global mission work
To all those who gave generously on Nov. 14, we thank you for investing in a new generation of bold and faithful leaders for the church.
