The church is experiencing great change. Amidst crises and opportunities, congregations struggle with the evolving landscape.
Mid-Winter Convocation at Luther Seminary will delve into how the church must respond through this year's theme, Worship in a Time of Change. From Feb. 5-7 in St. Paul, Minn., participants, seminary faculty and guest speakers will wrestle with questions like: How do we worship God faithfully in a time when the world is in constant flux? What traditions and theological understandings are bedrock? And how do we build from these foundations in innovative ways to reach out to people yearning for hope?
Keynote speakers include Dirk Lange, associate professor of worship at Luther Seminary, and Chris Trimble, adjunct associate professor of business administrator and executive director of the Center for Global Leadership, Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. Other members of Luther Seminary's faculty and ecumenical innovative thinkers will also lead workshops throughout the convocation.
Events at Mid-Winter Convocation include reunions for Luther Seminary alumni, chapel services and resource fairs. The public is invited to think out loud about how to be a bold and faithful Christian leader in today's changing world. Come gain concepts and skills to navigate the untrodden paths of the 21st century church, so you can continue to lead wherever God has planted you.
