Luther Seminary seeks a full-time Support Analyst to provide frontline computer services through analysis, education, and documentation with the aim of eliminating problem recurrence and reducing calls to the service center. This position reports to the Director of I.T. and acts as the primary customer interface for the Seminary's extended information services functions and champions student, faculty, and staff interests within the team.
This position requires a person who thrives on unpredictability; is energized by solving problems; is an effective, clear, and personable communicator with a sense of humor; takes personal ownership of their work; is empathetic and patient; and a quick learner. The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree and one year or more of previous computer support experience, ideally in higher education. Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and crawl under desks required.

Purpose of the Job:
This is a full-time administrative position which supports the academic programs of Luther Seminary and reports to the Academic Dean.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Provide general administrative and clerical support to the Academic Dean and Associate Dean of First Theological Degrees.
- Consult with the office of Institutional Research and the Registrar on strategic program and curricular planning and oversight.
- Track participation, effectiveness, alignment and efficiencies in and among Luther Seminary's emerging learning systems (residential, online, TEEM, open sourced and conferencing).
- Together with key personnel, track participation, effectiveness, alignment and efficiencies in Luther Seminary's degree programs.
- Assist the Associate Dean for First Theological Degrees in monitoring students' degree requirements and schedules.
- Assist the Academic Dean in integrating instructional assessment efforts with institutional assessment.
- Assist the Academic Dean with overseeing and managing the academic instructional budget.
- Coordinate with the Office of Human Resources regarding faculty development.
- Coordinate the day-to-day flow of the offices of the Academic Dean and Associate Dean of First Theological Degrees; including managing calendars, maintaining files, answering phones, ordering supplies, and creating a pleasant and welcoming office environment.
- In consultation with the Academic Dean, develop agendas for Faculty and Educational Leadership Committee meetings, and take minutes for those meetings.
- Assist the Registrar in the production of the academic catalogue.
- Assist the Academic Dean in monitoring compliance with ATS and NCA accreditation standards/regulations.
- Represent the Academic Dean's office on the Seminary's technology work group.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
