Mons Teig joined the Luther Seminary faculty in 1986 as associate professor of pastoral theology and ministry, worship. He was named professor of worship in 1994.

He was director for parish worship and preaching in the ALC Division for Life and Mission in the Congregation in 1974-86. Ordained in 1961, he was pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church in Brooklyn, N.Y. (1961-66) and pastor and co-pastor of Lutheran
