Presidential Scholarship Application

The renewable Presidential Scholarship is a scholarship for full-time students in the M.Div. and M.A. programs (not including dual degree students). This scholarship seeks to identify students who embody the Luther Seminary mission statement to "educate leaders for Christian communities."

Students with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher who have leadership and/or ministry experience are encouraged to apply. Finalists will be invited to take part in the Luther Seminary scholarship weekend which will be held Feb. 23-24, 2014.

If applying for the Bonnie and Peter Raquet Scholarship, follow these same instructions. 

Instructions: All of the following application materials must be received by January 31. 

1. Completed application for admission

2. Scholarship reference form completed by a campus or parish-congregational pastor, professor of religion or ministry, or other denominational leader who has observed you in leadership capacities pertinent to your vocational goals. Please fill out your reference information below and a reference form will be emailed directly to your reference.

3. Resume (email a pdf or word document to admissions@luthersem.edu)

Please write a short essay responding to the following questions:
1. How do you envision the future of Christian leadership in the world?
2. What do you hope your role will be in this future? (Combined word count: 500-1000 max)

In the belief that applicants, and the persons from whom they request evaluation, may wish to preserve the confidentiality of those evaluations.
