Seminarian Scholarship Challenge

Luther Seminary is thrilled to report that the $100,000 Seminarian Scholarship Challenge has been achieved!

In February of 2009, a challenge was issued by four generous families. Their goal was to create scholarship support for future leaders of the church as they train and prepare for ministry. Hoping to inspire others to join with them in this worthy cause, they launched the Seminarian Scholarship Challenge.

For every dollar donated to student scholarships they would give a dollar, up to a total of $100,000. So, when Luther Seminary recently reached the challenge goal of $100,000 in scholarship support these families added another $100,000, bringing the total to $200,000! We are deeply grateful to each and every individual and family who has contributed to scholarships for seminarians.

If you have not yet joined in the efforts to support seminarian scholarships, there is still more support needed. As of May 1, including the challenge dollars, we have received $589,515 in scholarship support towards our $1,000,000 goal.
