Department:	Global Mission Institute (GMI)
Description:	Prepare hygiene, emergency food, and other basic need packets for incoming international students.
Purpose:	Assist in making Luther Seminary a welcoming, safe, and supportive place. The "Welcome Kit" serves as a token of hospitality and care as international students arrive to an unfamiliar environment. It provides needed items to these students, such as soap, shampoo, snacks, a welcome note, etc. in the first days of their life here after many days of travel. Materials and additional volunteer help will be provided, and ideas are encouraged for the "Welcome Kits."
Time Commitment:	Once per year, before school begins
Training:	as needed
Supervision:	GMI office will manage and support this project along with the International Student Facilitators in OISS.
