Purpose: |
The FRIENDS organization has provided long-standing support for Luther Seminary. It is committed to prayer, service and sharing the mission of the seminary with the church at large. Their Endowed Scholarship Fund has provided financial assistance to students for many years. The faithful service and support of the FRIENDS has strengthened the work of this institution for the sake of the Christian church. |

Time Commitment: |
Board meets 6 times per year for 2-3 hours. Assignments of responsibility for events sponsored by the organization vary. Limited annual positions available. |

Training: |
As needed. |

Supervision: |
The Coordinator of Donor Relations and the Coordinator of Volunteer Programs provide staff support for the FRIENDS Board. |
|
Desired Skills: |
- Enthusiasm for Luther Seminary
- Parliamentary procedure knowledge helpful but not required.
- Desire to learn more about the work and life of Luther Seminary, its faculty, students and programs
