Give to the Max on November 15th

On Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012 help Luther Seminary and thousands of other Minnesota nonprofits raise millions of dollars in 24 hours by participating in Give to the Max Day!

Last year more than 200 Luther Seminary supporters helped Luther be in the top 10 higher education institutes by raising $34,210 during the 24-hour online event.

What should you know about Give to the Max Day?

You can support Luther Seminary from anywhere in the world on Nov. 15 beginning at 12 a.m. through 11:59 p.m. CST on our GiveMN.org page: www.givemn.org/Luther-Seminary. The more times you, your friends and your family give the greater the odds of making your gift to Luther Seminary go further!

• Through the Max Match, your gift to the Sustaining Fund will be doubled!
• $1,000 will be added randomly to one gift every hour
• $10,000 will be randomly given at 11:59 pm out of all gifts received.
• $12,500, $5,000 and $2,500 grants will be giving to the three higher education institutions who receive the most dollars

What will your Sustaining Fund gift support?

Giving to the Sustaining Fund means your gift will be used where it has the greatest impact on the quality of seminary education our future church leaders are receiving. Some of the areas supported by the Sustaining Fund are:

• Coursework and fellowship designed to prepare biblically grounded, Christ-centered leaders
• Free online resources such as EnterTheBible.org and WorkingPreacher.org
• Distributed learning programs that allow people across the country the opportunity to say “Yes” to God’s call to ministry
• Opportunities for students to immerse themselves in cross-cultural ministry, interfaith dialog and global mission work
• Scholarships that work to reduce student debt and  allow graduates  to serve where they are most needed
