The Evidence Of Hope is an impressionistic portrait of the lives of three unique individuals — a courageous woman in Honduras challenging the indignity within a city dump, a Filipino preacher confronting the inequity within a government, a police officer fighting the injustice within the corrupt Kenyan system — as they define what it means to confront oppression through the pursuit of their divine calling, revealing hope and discovering what it is that we are all made for.

The task of the annual Burgess Lecture in Global Mission, sponsored by the GMI, is to interpret global mission today in the light of the Christian tradition, the historical experience of the church, and the contemporary situation in the world.
