Over 120 GMI supporters, international students and spouses gathered on March 29, 2009 for a celebration of gratitude and mission centered on the theme, "World of Hope." The featured speaker was 2009 Visiting Schiotz Professor Dr. Nalini Arles.

"Feed My Sheep" was the theme for the annual GMI Donor Dinner held on March 30, 2008. Dr. Steven Haggmark, professor of Islamic Studies and Christian Mission and World Religions, and the new Director of the GMI, was the featured speaker.
