"Shame & Suicide" Guest Speaker, the Rev. Diane Krumm - November 5 (Top Headlines)
Pastor Krumm will speak both professionally and personally about ministry to people with shame and depression. She is also trained in QPR (a suicide prevention program). This open lecture is part of the pastoral care class: "Ministry to People with Mental Illness and Their Families." All interested persons welcome.

Healthy Leaders Seasonal Flu Shot Clinic Canceled Nov 4, 5 and 9. Vaccine not available at this time. (Top Headlines)
Seasonal flu vaccine is manufactured similarly to the H1N1 vaccine. Because the priority of the making of the H1N1, seasonal flu is not as readily available. The vendor for Luther Seminary is Visiting Nurses. They hope to have the seasonal vaccine by the end of the month of November. Luther Seminary is scheduled for clinics at that time.
Couples Care Dinner on Sunday, November 8th from 6-8pm in Stub Hall Lounge. (Top Headlines)
In and effort to provide support for seminary couples, we've planned another FREE Couples Care Dinner for the fall semester. RSVP to semfam@luthersem.edu by Thursday, November 5th. If you need childcare, please indicate child's age(s) in the RSVP.
The goals for these Couples Care Dinners are to: *Create nurturing space for couples. *Learn more about what couples need by way of support while in seminary. *Offer an opportunity for couples to connect in small groups. *Offer a short "marriage enrichment" topic or exercise each time. *Enjoy a good meal and pray together.
