Obtaining Materials from Other Libraries

When materials are not available in our library or are not part of our collection, often they can be requested from another library.

Consortium Loan

Luther Seminary students, faculty, and Extension Borrowers may borrow books and other items locally from  Consortium libraries at Bethel Seminary, Saint Paul Seminary, and United Theological Seminary by sending an email request to libcirc@luthersem.edu

Students and faculty may also borrow material directly with a Luther Seminary ID card or by using our online request form

The material will normally be delivered by courier in 1-2 days.  There is no cost for this service and is available to all borrowers.

Interlibrary Loan

Books or periodical articles not available at Luther or within the Consortium may be requested  through Interlibrary Loan, usually at no charge. Delivery times vary depending on where the item is coming from.  Please allow two weeks for requested items to arrive. This service is for Luther Seminary faculty, students and staff.
